I specialize in sex therapy and relationship counseling for LGBTQ+, gender-expansive, kink-involved, and consensually non-monogamous adults. Many of my clients are navigating desire discrepancies, identity transitions, communication challenges, or persistent shame around sexuality and intimacy. You may feel capable and self-aware in most areas of life yet unsettled in your closest relationships. Together, we will connect the dots between present triggers and earlier relational experiences so recurring patterns can be understood and shifted with intention. Living with OCD or anxiety can be exhausting. The constant doubt, intrusive thoughts, avoidance and compulsions can make everyday life feel overwhelming— like it's running your life instead of you. I specialize in helping adults break free from OCD, perfectionism, and anxiety disorders. I understand how isolating these struggles can feel, and I provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you can feel understood while learning practical tools to understand anxiety and move toward what truly matters to you. If you're struggling with OCD, we’ll use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. Together we'll build a concrete treatment plan, and with steady support, you’ll gradually face fears, and reduce compulsions, building confidence and learning that you can handle uncertainty without relying on rituals. To address anxiety and perfectionism, I integrate CBT and ACT techniques, so you can develop a healthier mindset and respond to difficult thoughts with more flexibility and self-compassion. Therapy is active and goal-oriented, but always grounded in warmth and respect. I’d love to support you in this process.

I help clients move forward by creating a compassionate, collaborative environment focused on resilience, self-understanding, and lasting change so they feel more balanced, connected, and supported in daily life.

I work best with clients who want therapy to feel both meaningful and human. I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, sex and sexuality, and life transitions. My style is collaborative, trauma-informed, and flexible. I pull from multiple different therapy modalities depending on what fits you best. We’ll pay attention to what’s happening in your body, your relationships, and your inner world. I show up with warmth, honesty, and curiosity. I believe that healing happens when people feel safe to be all of themselves: messy, soft, over the top, and everything in between. As a queer therapist, I know how powerful it is to sit across from someone who just gets it. I’m passionate about body liberation, LGBTQ+ rights, and mental health care that doesn’t pathologize people for having feelings. I believe in justice, in community care, and in showing up authentically with the people I serve. I’ve walked through my own healing journey, and that makes me deeply committed to walking beside others in theirs.
You don't have to keep holding it all together-going through the motions on your own, guessing what normal is, not knowing anything better. You're working hard to build a life that looks good on paper-education, career, independence, maybe even a relationship or side hustle. But, underneath the surface, you're exhausted. The anxiety won't let up. Your inner critic never takes a day off. And, no matter how much you achieve, it never feels like enough. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who you really are, you're in the right place. I work with women and LGBTQ+ individuals who are ready to understand the why behind their patterns and start healing at the root. Together, we'll create a space where your story is heard, your pain is validated, and your healing becomes possible. You might find yourself: -Overthinking every decision and replaying conversations in your head -Struggling with low self-esteem, perfectionism, or people pleasing -Feeling anxious in your relationships, yet afraid to be truly seen -Living with persistent sadness, numbness, or self-doubt -Wondering if what happened in your past is still affecting your present If this resonates, therapy can help. I offer individual counseling to support you in: -Understanding how childhood trauma has shaped your beliefs and behaviors -Learning to soothe your nervous system and respond versus react -Setting boundaries without guilt -Building emotional resilience and self worth -Exploring your identity outside of old roles and expectations It's okay to ask for help. You're not supposed to do this alone. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're used to being the strong one. But, healing doesn't mean falling apart-it means letting yourself grow into someone who feels whole. Here's how to begin: 1. Schedule a free consultation - A 15-minute phone call to see if we're a good fit. 2. Start therapy - We'll meet weekly (in person or virtually) to explore your story and begin the work of healing. 3. Reclaim your life - Bit by bit, you'll begin to feel more grounded, self-compassionate, and connected to who you truly are. If you have questions at any point, you're welcome to reach out. I'm here to support you in taking this first step.

My name is Amanda Schneider and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and then obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work from Valdosta State University. I am currently under supervision, supervised by Adina Tucker LCSW, while I work to obtain my LCSW. Life transitions can be challenging whether you’re adjusting to a new phase, managing anxiety, moving through grief, facing relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck. I work with adults and teenagers (13+) who are navigating these complexities, offering a grounded space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is unique to each person and together, we will explore what works best for you. In a safe space, we will explore your strengths, goals, and experiences in order to find healing and growth. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and centered on helping you reconnect with yourself. Together, we’ll focus on building self-esteem, practicing self-compassion, and recognizing your own strengths especially in moments when those things feel hard to access. With a background in hospice care, I have experience working with individuals and families navigating chronic illness, death, and the grief that comes with those experiences. I’ve also worked with older adults navigating anxiety, depression, isolation, and aging related issues. These experiences shaped the way I show up as a therapist and I strive to offer a space where you feel safe to be yourself and talk through your true thoughts and feelings. Starting therapy isn’t always easy, and it’s okay to feel unsure about where to begin. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, reconnect with a sense of purpose, and build skills that support you long after our work together.

I am a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience, primarily in higher education settings. My practice focuses on working with diverse people who are navigating life transitions and demands, particularly those connected to their identity and sense of self. I believe each of us is shaped through our life experiences, both positive and painful. Therapy is an opportunity to explore these experiences, especially if you are feeling unfulfilled or questioning your life’s purpose and meaning. While this process can be difficult, it can also lead to tremendous clarity, insight, and even joy! Because of my years working in higher education settings, I have a nuanced understanding of the unique demands that undergraduate, graduate, and professional students face during these phases of life. I hold expertise in working with students of Asian descent and other BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students. I have worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ folx, first generation college students, those impacted by immigration (self or family), and student-athletes (DI and DIII institutions; I am credentialed through Emory Athletics Sports Medicine). Considering the different facets of client identity is central to my therapeutic approach, which is collaborative and empowerment-based. I welcome you to email or call me to connect about working together. I meet people via telehealth and offer a complimentary 20 minute initial consultation. The initial consultation gives us a chance to discuss your hopes for therapy, and we can collectively determine if we believe working together is in your best interest. I am authorized to practice in several states outside of GA via PSYPACT (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap), which can be very helpful for students who live in different states when they are not in school. Congratulations on beginning this journey!
