Having the ability to express yourself freely and without judgment is an essential part of therapy, and the relationship between client and therapist is a key aspect of this. As a social worker, I recognize the importance of human relationships and the environment we live in, as well as the negative impact they have on our ability to function. I utilize a person-centered, strengths based approach to understand individuals as a whole, and work collaboratively with clients to address their challenges and reach their goals. I provide individual therapy focusing on anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Identifying as a nonbinary lesbian myself, I understand how difficult it is to find a competent provider with whom you feel safe and understood. If you’ve made it this far, I encourage you to take the next step and reach out so we can see if this would be a good fit for both of us.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor | Art Therapist | Supporting College Students I am a licensed mental health counselor with a passion for supporting college students as they navigate the unique challenges of academic life, personal growth, and emotional well-being. With a background in both traditional talk therapy and expressive art therapies, I offer a holistic approach to mental health that encourages self-exploration and healing through creativity. I understand the pressures that college students face—whether it's academic stress, relationship struggles, or identity exploration—and I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for each individual to express themselves and find balance. Through the use of art-based interventions, I aim to help students enhance self-awareness, process difficult emotions, and develop coping strategies that promote overall mental health.
I offer therapy sessions in both English and Mandarin. I was born and raised in China, and later came to the U.S. for grad school. My personal experience in navigating the challenges of life transitions, cultures, and expectations inspired me to create a safe, gentle space where you can be heard and understood. I’m here to listen to your stories and unspoken emotions, and help you find your true voice. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may be holding you back and gently uncover the myths that no longer serve you. I’m not here to judge or talk down to you—I’ll be patient and supportive as you grow. I’ll celebrate your progress because I genuinely care, and I hope to make this journey one of curiosity, compassion, and even joy as you step into the best version of yourself.

I believe that effective therapy starts with a good working relationship, so I strive to provide an environment that is safe, empathetic and free of judgement. I have over a decade of experience working with people who experience a wide range of mental health issues and life stressors, including mental health professionals who experience fatigue. I enjoy helping people tap into their ability to alleviate distress and manage negative emotions in a healthy way. My background is in CBT, DBT, Clinical Health Psychology and crisis management. My specialties include depression, addiction, domestic abuse victims, eating disorders, self-harm/suicidal thoughts, and relationship issues. I have served on treatment teams to help people with alcohol dependence, opioid dependence and severe mental illness.
I am a short-term therapist who works specifically with clients with chronic health conditions. Over the course of 20 sessions, we learn all about what is happening in your body and brain, learn and practice coping skills to manage anxiety related to your chronic medical condition, and have the option to complete hypnotherapy for chronic illness as well. If you are struggling with mental health related to a chronic health condition, and especially if you are experiencing high amounts of anxiety and low quality of life related to health symptoms, you will be a great fit for what I provide. If you have never done therapy before, or if you have found that your current therapist doesn’t quite “get it,” and you’re hoping to work with someone that has an intimate knowledge of chronic illness and hospital systems, then you will be a great fit. I also work alongside your full-time therapist if you have a therapist you love and would like to stay with while we complete our work together. I am also a good fit for someone who is specifically seeking out an LGBTQ therapist. I only offer virtual therapy at this time.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University and went on to complete my Master of Social Work at Boston University School of Social Work in 2015. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use. I came into this field because I genuinely value the process of helping people better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and I don’t take for granted the trust it takes to share your story with someone new. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and truly heard—without judgment. My approach to therapy is pragmatic, individualized, and grounded in your unique strengths. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I work collaboratively with each client to understand what’s most important to them and to develop tools and strategies that feel realistic and useful in everyday life. Whether we’re working through patterns of anxiety, processing past trauma, or addressing substance use, I aim to balance insight with practical steps forward.
