Hello! I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 10 years of experience in hospitals, therapy clinics, and academic research settings. l work with adolescents and young adults facing a range of challenges, including more serious mental health concerns. My practice focuses on treating individuals with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, and psychotic disorders like schizophrenia. My style is warm and client-centered, with a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship. You will always be met with acceptance, support, and a space free of shame and judgment. My goal is to arm you with knowledge and tools so that you develop confidence to better manage difficulties in your life. I aim to provide you with clear information related to symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options. I have expertise in evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I often bring worksheets and treatment manuals into the session, and use assessments to learn more about you and track progress. If you're unsure of what to expect from therapy, I will be there to guide you. In our initial sessions, we'll work toward gaining a good understanding of your difficulties and goals, and develop a treatment plan together. Sometimes we may even complete a clinical and diagnostic evaluation, where I will review the results with you and provide tailored treatment recommendations. If you’re looking for an experienced psychologist who values collaboration and providing you with structured tools, I’d love to hear from you! I offer free 15-minute consultations if you'd like to meet first to see if we'd be a good fit.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, families, and adults around life transitions, grief, adult and child ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, and stress. Additionally, as a first generation Asian Indian who was raised in the US, I have firsthand knowledge around the socially and culturally sensitive issues relating to the experience of immigrant families. As a clinician for 20+ years, my treatment modalities are diverse and include insight-oriented therapy, solution focused work, cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness training, stress management, relaxation skills instruction and play therapy. My warm, empathetic and collaborative style allows me to connect with a variety of clients in a genuine, supportive and positive manner. I look forward to working together to achieve your therapeutic goals. You are welcome to call me to set up an initial consultation. Please note that my sessions are via video telehealth for the state of Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.
As students or professionals, it is more common than we recognize to be depleted by our daily routine, school or family; to experience self doubt, become overwhelmed or to live with ongoing stress/trauma. Without an opportunity for mental restoration we can become burnt out or disconnected by persistent feelings of depression, anxiety, frustration, apathy, grief or even chronic pain and illness. My aim for each client is to help you develop a greater sense of self-awareness, balance and control over your life. Even if you aren't quite sure of what it is you need - we'll figure it out together. I use a mixture of mixture of traditional therapeutic approaches and Nature Based Therapy (NBT), done either outdoors or in combination with telehealth. This could look as simple as a walk in a park or with more, immersive sensory experiences in nature to get your body in motion and feeling more alive. The ultimate goal is to reduce stress and increase your social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
I enjoy working with individuals who have ADHD, anxiety, self-esteem issues, trauma and/or emotion dysregulation. Through the use of specialized therapies (including CBT), I help you develop the ability to manage and express your thoughts and feelings, improve your relationships, get your needs met, extinguish the need for unhealthy behaviors, and develop a sense of internal completeness. I am a hypnotherapist as well a psychotherapist. I believe that therapy can produce healthy changes. I love being a therapist and understand the risk involved in taking the first steps toward getting help. Contact me today to begin your journey toward a satisfying life! While I am happy to address relationship issues, I do not provide couples therapy. I also do not treat eating disorders.

You're out on your own and somehow now expected to juggle classes, deadlines, social plans you don’t even have the energy for, and the constant pressure to ‘be better.’ Maybe you’re asking yourself: Am I falling behind? Am I doing enough? Why does this feel so much harder for me than everyone else? I work with ambitious students and young adults navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, trauma, and life transitions - like starting college, moving out of the dorms or from college to career, adjusting to grad school, shifting friendships, or figuring out what adulthood is even supposed to look like. In therapy, we’ll untangle what’s keeping you stuck and build tools that actually work in real life. You don’t have to be falling apart to get support. If you look like you’re holding it together on the outside, but inside you’re overthinking, panicking, or numb to it all, I get it. Together, we’ll find your middle ground where you can grow, slow down without losing your flow, and align your actions with your goals and values.
I understand the decision to begin therapy can be challenging. If you are feeling "stuck," please know that you are not alone and we can navigate this hard time together. Individuals, couples, or families who choose to engage in therapy, will ultimately be choosing a very effective way of facilitating change for themselves and their important relationships. By working together, I have confidence that we can collaborate to create new experiences, beginnings, and perspectives. My style is warm, compassionate, and empathetic while also using my sense of humor when appropriate. In a non-judgmental and safe environment, we will collaborate to ensure that our work together is meaningful and goal-oriented, suited to fit your needs. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." It's time to start living the life that is calling you.
I am a Postdoctoral psychologist who works with individuals that are hoping to improve their relationship with themselves and with others. I have experience working with adults across the lifespan experiencing a variety of difficulties. My area of specialty is with clients who have a history of disordered eating patterns, as well as a history of trauma. In therapy I encourage clients to be curious about their experiences, and my hope is that together we will deepen our understanding of how your past may be currently impacting your present. My approach with clients is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe personal change occurs best when we notice how our experiences show up for us mentally and physically, so my work often involves active use of the mind-body connection. I use an integrated trauma-informed approach to treatment, which may include the use of somatic internal family systems, relational, psychodynamic, humanistic, feminist therapy and I incorporate techniques from CBT and DBT when appropriate. I provide embodied centered therapy for people struggling in their relationship with food, all with the goal for clients to foster awareness of self, connection with others, and to reconnect to their capacity for full-bodied engagement with the world. Additionally, I offer comprehensive psychological assessments that include both cognitive and personality assessment tools. These assessments are best suited for individuals who are wondering if they may have ADHD and can help to clarify any other mental health diagnostic questions. The results will be provided to you via a written report, which can be used to further your treatment or to justify accommodations to support your needs. I currently am only seeing clients virtually. Please reach out to connect and see if we’d be a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!

Hello, I'm a mental health counselor licensed in the state of NY. I have worked in community mental health since 2015 in both clinic and primary care medical settings. My clients have presented a wide range of concerns, including: depression, anxiety, OCD, grief, substance abuse, capitalism, fascism, and adjustment to life after incarceration. Regardless of what issues bring you to therapy, I work from the assumption that YOU are not the problem. Rather, the situation is the problem, and we work together to transform it. This process often involves shifting your view, giving yourself grace, and deepening compassion for yourself. Before graduate school, I was a community organizer and activist addressing issues of social, ecological, and economic concern; my undergraduate degrees are in Community Health and Peace and Justice Studies. I often use a systems perspective to address problems, and I have experience working with trauma related to systemic harm and oppression. I strive to be supportive and curious in my role as a counselor. Working in this field means that I learn (and unlearn) every day. I am honored to walk alongside the people who invite me into their lives, and I do my best to offer honesty and compassion in a safe and respectful way. I value broad access to psychotherapy and gladly offer a sliding fee scale.
I work well with clients experiencing anxiety, overcoming trauma, having relationship problems, or feeling uncertain about transitioning into the "real world." Licensed for telehealth in New York, Colorado, Utah, Virginia
