Have you ever had a moment, conversation, or even a look that gave made you feel felt? That felt sense of connection is what Resonance, LLC is based on. Too often, we are forced to stay on the surface level or simply don't know how to connect on a more meaningful level--perhaps because we were taught to; perhaps because of trauma; or maybe because we are afraid someone will abandon/make fun of/misunderstand us. Resonance is about feeling accompanied, being seen, heard, and mostly, felt, throughout the healing process.

I work with relationship issues and sexuality, certified as a Relationship Therapist through the Gottman Institute of Seattle. I am also certified as a Sex Therapist through AASECT, the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Several years ago I realized I am autistic and now I address issues experienced by people who are autistic/ Asperger's or those who wonder whether they may carry that diagnosis. I also see people with other forms of neurodivergence such as ADHD. Originally I am from Boston and grew up in a working class family with a commitment to political activism. I am licensed in NY and FL as well as Oregon and Washington State. Although I offer some reduced fee spots I am sorry to say they are consistently full.

Are you struggling to find your purpose or understand the direction your life is taking? Do you grapple with questions of identity or acceptance? Does uncertainty often cloud your thoughts? If any of this resonates with you, or if you're seeking a deeper understanding of your life, I am here to guide you on your journey. I understand the profound importance of finding representation and connecting with someone who shares or understands similar narratives. It can be challenging to trust that a therapist truly relates to your experiences, especially during life’s most difficult moments. My approach integrates mindfulness, trauma-informed care, CBT, and other evidence-based practices to address your unique needs. Together, we will collaborate to identify and outline those needs in a safe and supportive environment. My life mantra is: Every day is a teaching moment. Each action and experience presents an opportunity to grow, learn, and evolve. With these moments, we are gifted tools that help guide us forward. Hello! I work with folks on issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, disordered eating and body image. More than just developing better coping skills, I also want to help you explore where the worry, negative self-beliefs and unhelpful coping behaviors come from. When we do that, we can appreciate how all behavior really is an attempt to get our needs met, diminishing the shame that so often surrounds mental health struggles. My goal is to help you foster more compassion for yourself, making it easier to understand your inner needs and mindfully pursue actions that are healing. I'm trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and I'm always learning more about treating trauma to help address the impact of past overwhelming experience, whether they felt big or small.

Hi! I'm glad you found me here in a sea of so many qualified therapists. What sets me apart from many other providers is the guiding principle that effective therapy is much more art than science. Research has consistently shown that the most influential common factor in effective therapy is a comfortable working relationship with your therapist (as opposed to a specialized treatment protocol or even years of experience). As such, I treat the quality and trust within our therapeutic relationship as the number one priority. I strive to provide a space in which we can engage collaboratively, to gain greater understanding through curiosity and exploration, ultimately working to address the root causes of your struggles. Developing an awareness and insight into your thoughts and decision making is key to attaining greater fulfillment and life satisfaction. You are more than what brings you into therapy and I recognize that the sum total of your lived experience is what makes you 'you'. Therapy allows you to be completely open and honest without fear of judgment, ultimately providing you the capacity to live authentically. I offer a free 15-minute consult; contact me or schedule via my website to see if I'm a good fit for you!

I have one of the best jobs on the planet! Being asked and invited to be with someone in the process of healing and change is a true privilege and deeply meaningful to me. With over 14 years of experience working with students and young adults, I enjoy working with students from all backgrounds and a wide array of presenting concerns. Some of the areas I specialize in and frequently work with are: - Trauma recovery (particularly complex, developmental, and family trauma) - LGBTQIA2S+ students - Graduate and international students - Relationships (of all kinds) - Men's issues - Identity - Neurodivergence - Family-of-origin - Living in recovery I am passionate about social justice advocacy and supporting students in understanding and navigating their multiple, intersecting social identities. Students who I work with describe me as warm, caring, honest, and authentic. My therapy style is relational, process-focused, and experiential. This means that I will guide us in using the relationship between you and I as a space to support your growth and change. It also means that both the content of therapy (what we are talking about) and the process of therapy (what is happening as we are talking and interacting) are both important for us to engage with. Lastly, it means that I will offer activities ("exploring by doing") that will help you learn more about yourself, develop new choices, and have new experiences in support of your therapy goals. If something here interests you and you’d like to explore working together, I’d love to hear from you!

I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and relationship issues. Even more specifically, my specialty rests in helping women navigate the anxiety and overwhelm that arises when they think about saying no, setting boundaries, or expressing their true opinions. Many of my clients are exhausted from agreeing to things they don’t want to do, staying in relationships out of obligation or fear, or managing a busy social life that leaves them feeling unfulfilled and ultimately disconnected. As an attachment-based therapist, I work with women to uncover the roots of these patterns in their relationships, helping them get grounded in their values and build the courage to show up authentically. My approach helps to create context for conditioned behaviors and beliefs so that clients find their voice, face the fear of speaking their truth, and experience the freedom of being unapologetically themselves and more aligned with their values. I take a holistic approach to treatment, combining somatic work, nervous system regulation, and relational therapy. My work also incorporates nutrition and movement to support overall wellness, empowering clients to align their physical, emotional, and relational health. I completed my applied graduate training at Portland State University's Student Health and Counseling Center as a psychologist intern and was employed there as a part-time psychologist before opening my private practice. My residency was completed at Reed College Health and Counseling Center and I have also had the wonderful opportunity to complete early field work training at University of Portland's Health and Counseling Center. I love working with college students and it is a joy to be able to provide students with the opportunity for longer-term psychotherapy.
