Christine(Chris) Hjortnaes has worked with College students for several years. She understands the many pressures of being in school, trying to plan for the future, holding down a job, maintaining healthy successful relationships, and raising a family while working towards a degree.
Life can move fast and feel heavy. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, lonely, or navigating big changes, it’s easy to lose touch with the version of yourself you long to be. Sometimes, our stories feel invisible. Other times, they rise up, asking us to listen. You are welcome here, just as you are. We believe healing starts with compassion. Instead of pushing through with pressure or self-judgment, we offer a gentler way—one that meets you where you are. Our trauma-informed team is here to support your healing with care, respect, and warmth. Reaching out takes courage.
College can be an exciting but challenging time filled with new pressures, uncertainty, and transitions. Many students face anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or questions about their future that can feel overwhelming. Balancing academics, social life, and personal growth often feels like a heavy load to carry alone. I’m here to support you through these challenges with a holistic, whole-person approach that considers your mind, body, and overall well-being. Using evidence-based practices like CBT and Reality Therapy, we’ll work together to identify stressors, develop practical coping strategies, and build resilience. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore your experiences honestly and create meaningful, lasting change tailored to your unique college journey. Whether you’re managing stress, navigating life transitions, or seeking clarity and balance, I’m here to walk alongside you as you thrive during this important chapter of your life.
*EMDR Trained // PMH-C // NOW OFFERING THERAPY INTENSIVES* Why did Waldo go to therapy? *TO FIND HIMSELF* 😊 Are you in a place where you are tired of hiding, blending in, or trying to keep up with…you know who? So many of us spend more time trying to be accepted by others that we forget to accept ourselves. Life is overwhelming regardless of what stage of life we are in. Come in and let's chat. Let's chat about: your relationship with your partner that is absolutely NOT what you dreamed of, how your parents ruined your childhood, your kid that is being targeted by a &@%$ at school, or maybe your kid is the @$%& at school. I provide a safe place to discuss those hard feelings of shame, failure, and guilt. Let's add some connection, compassion, and empathy into your life; regardless of your stage of life. I have a passion for working with youth who are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, substance use, and other mental health issues. I'm specifically honored to serve LGBTQiA+ folks as a proud member of the queer community myself. I love helping anyone tap into their autonomy, self-love, find their strengths, and accomplish their goals. I practice harm reduction, which helps people determine how to do what they want to do (whether that be coming out as transgender or non-binary, building community, sexual exploration, drug use, etc.) to their own level of comfort and safety at their own pace. I provide a collaborative and open approach to therapy without any judgement. You are in the driver's seat and determine what the destination is. I'm just in the passenger's seat with a stack of maps, helping you find your path.
Life transitions can be tough, especially when navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, or other challenges. Whether you're adjusting to a new phase of life, struggling with focus, motivation, or emotions, you're not alone. I'm Kate, an LCSW, and I specialize in helping adults build structure, confidence, and coping skills. Together, we'll find strategies tailored to your unique needs. If you're feeling stuck, stressed, or uncertain, therapy can help you regain control and move forward with clarity. I believe therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, so I tailor my methods to each individual. Using strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and work toward meaningful change. Outside of my work, I enjoy training my dogs, cooking, and reading to stay balanced. Taking the first step is tough, but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether managing ADHD, anxiety, or life transitions, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to create real change and build the life you want. Reach out today to schedule a session and start your journey toward clarity, confidence, and balance. I look forward to connecting with you!
I am a Licensed Psychologist specializing in adjustment, career assessment, ADHD/Learning disabilities and identity development. Please visit my website to see the scope of services available.
Therapy only works if it actually feels right, and finding the right fit can be the hardest part. I try to make that easy. You will know pretty quickly if this is a space where you can breathe out, be honest, and start doing real work. I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (English and Spanish). I work with teens, young adults, and adults on anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, identity and self-esteem, ADHD, burnout, career stress, and the kind of cultural stress that comes from living between worlds. My style is warm, person-centered, and collaborative. We move at a sustainable pace, look honestly at the patterns underneath what you are bringing in, and build practical tools you can actually use between sessions. I was born in Mexico and moved to Texas when I was young. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and bring particular fluency to first-gen, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ experiences, along with anyone who has ever felt not quite at home in other people's categories. If that sounds like what you are looking for, reach out.
Hey, I'm Briana! I help global women and gender expansive folks break free from burnout, self-doubt, low self-esteem, perfectionism, impostor syndrome, people pleasing, family/societal pressure, cultural stress, and cycles of generational trauma. Through our work, you'll release habits and patterns that sabotage your joy, unlearn oppressive beliefs you've been taught about everything from body image to your role as a woman, and reclaim yourself from capitalism, supremacy culture, and manufactured urgency. You'll tap into your own power and claim your own liberation. As revolutionary woman Assata Shakur reminds us: "we have nothing to lose but our chains." Through our work together, you'll reclaim your power, release fear and self-doubt, redefine your roles, regain confidence in your skills and gifts, reimagine relationships with community, and reconnect with rest, joy, pleasure, and play so you can survive these times. My areas of expertise include anxiety, grief, trauma recovery, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I’m dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families on their healing journey of untangling the past and striving toward a better, more fulfilling future. I strive to empower my clients to overcome challenges, foster resilience, and live their most authentic lives. I would love to get to know you and help you process your emotions, develop new coping skills, and work through the various transitions of life.
I am a patient, compassionate, non-judgmental helping professional who understands struggle and uncertainty. I believe that people are generally doing their best, and that growth and change can be difficult, uncomfortable, and scary. I think that having someone help you navigate through times of uncertainty, sit with you in your struggles, and challenge your beliefs and behaviors can be instrumental in understanding how and why your behavior patterns are contributing to your distress and preventing you from moving forward. I approach counseling from an interpersonal attachment-based perspective, in that I believe relational issues are the driving force behind our emotions, motivations, and behaviors. I specialize in working with clients who struggle with substance use and abuse, specifically individuals who work in the service and hospitality industries. I also have experience counseling clients with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, and relationship difficulties. I received my Masters in Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans and I am a provisionally licensed professional counselor. I find inspiration personally and professionally in the works of Brené Brown, Irvin Yalom, Gabor Maté, and Thich Nhat Han. I counsel individuals, groups, and couples. I respect everyone's individuality and do not discriminate against anyone.
I support individuals who are navigating significant transitions, managing stress, and dealing with past experiences. I draw from multiple theories to find what works best for each client. I incorporate skills-based approaches, as well as expressive arts, experiential methods, and somatic techniques for processing, exploration, and self-regulation. Whether it’s exploring their identity, building self-esteem, or fostering healthier relationships, my goal is to provide a space where individuals can find balance and understanding. I hope to support others so that no one has to walk their path alone.
I have over five years experience working with college students. I understand what it is like to be in a new place, trying to find yourself and do well in school. Are you feeling stressed, anxious, depressed? Are you a perfectionist? I can help. Reach out to see if we are a good fit.
You’re anxious and frustrated. Maybe lost, confused, and overwhelmed. My hope as your therapist is that you see hope in just visiting this page. You're done hiding, avoiding, and repressing. This is step 1 towards healing. I invite you to take a step further. Together, we will bring clarity to your situation, process unresolved emotions, and develop coping skills for enduring positive change. When you are sitting across from me, my goal is for you to feel safe, understood, and encouraged. I am here to help you unlearn thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you—to explore and unravel unhealthy habits, toxic ways of interacting with others, and harmful statements you unconsciously rehearse when you’re feeling your absolute worst. I focus on your strengths and take into account your family dynamics, how you were raised, and any trauma you have experienced. In session with me, you can expect me to ask you how you deal with negative emotions. I also want to know about your relationships, culture, and community. I received my Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where I studied Clinical Mental Health with specialization in Marriage, Couples, and Family. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Harvard College. To set up a free 15-minute consultation, please visit www.jackieleecounseling.com
With over 15 years of experience as a clinician, I provide a supportive and evidence-based approach to therapy for adults. I recognize that many different circumstances bring someone to therapy, and there’s no one single intervention that works for each person. With that in mind, I value understanding each person‘s history and collaboratively developing a “road map” for meaningful change. Holding a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas, I have treated a variety of mental health conditions and assisted clients with complex life changes and “seasons”. My approach integrates psychoeducation, skill-building, and validation to empower clients with practical tools for growth. Whether you’re facing emotional struggles, relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where healing and progress can occur.

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward? Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship struggles, identity questions, or anger that feels hard to control—I’m here to help. My style is warm, honest, and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and build practical tools to create lasting change, one step at a time.
Welcome! I’m an individual and family therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, PMDD, relationship issues, and life transitions including adjustment to college. Within my practice, I offer a warm, collaborative space where it’s safe to bring your full self—your strengths, your stuck points, and the parts you’re still figuring out. I believe that when we feel safe enough in a therapeutic relationship to take risks and let down walls, we pave the way for insight and growth that lead to meaningful change.
